Sally Shepherd, M.AmSAT

Sally Shepherd (AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher) trained with Joan and Alex Murray at the Alexander Technique Center Urbana, graduating in 2003. That same year, she moved to New Jersey, where she taught the Technique at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She also maintained a private teaching practice during that time, and assisted at numerous workshops in NYC. In 2013, Sally returned to live in Urbana, and joined the faculty at ATCU, where she remained until its close in Fall 2018.  Since her return to this community, she has also been teaching the AT at the University of Illinois, as well as privately. Sally has a background in the visual arts, and holds BFA and MFA degrees from the U of I. She taught ceramics there, as well as at Parkland College.
