The Mettler Release
Giving Thanks at Mettler Center

The holidays can often be a difficult time for various reasons; however, it can also be a time to reflect on things we are thankful for. Mettler Center is very thankful for all our members and clients that have interacted with our various service lines over this last year. Additionally, we are grateful for our staff that strives to offer the best services year-round in an effort to transform the lives of the people we serve!

On that note, we are excited to welcome several new staff members to our Mettler team: Kimberly Johnson, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Stephanie Ellison, Personal Trainer, and Jenny Cutler, Registered Dietitian

From our family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Paul Mettler, PT, DPT
3 Reasons to Start Meditating
3 Reasons to Start Meditating
Think of meditation as "mental hygiene," simply clearing out the junk, and tuning into what really matters which is different for each person. "The quality of our life depends on the quality of our mind," writes Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. We can't control what happens but we can be intentional about our thoughts.
  1. Gain Perspective
Ever feel like you're losing sight of the big picture? Or that your life is go-go-go. Maybe you get trapped by the "urgent" and forget what is most important? Try a little meditation to help you take a step back and develop a new perspective.
  2. Be more focused!
How much time do you spend each day on social media, or in front of a TV? Why not take a few minutes out of your day to reflect, sit silently, and just be in the moment.
  3. Time for YOU!
Meditation can take various forms: go for a walk, sit on a park bench and take in the world around you, be present in the moment, or do some deep breathing or yoga poses. Take time for yourself because every minute is a gift.
If you would like to explore more of meditation, we are offering a Mindful Meditation program starting January 15th. Sign up today at Member Services or by registering online.
