At Mettler, we're constantly looking for ways to improve our offerings to make sure we're meeting our members' needs.

To help us accomplish these goals, we've introduced two new nutrition programs. Using eCoach, even the busiest community members can get the advice and encouragement they need to stick to their diets. Our Measure Your Burn program caters to those who would like specific information about how their body chemistry works. By using this plan, you'll be able to create a diet that is tailored to your individual needs.

In addition to new programs, we've also brought back favorites our members enjoy. This year, we're offering Water Fitness again. We're also moving our Pilates and Jazzercise class times to accommodate more members' schedules.

At Mettler Center and Mettler Athletic, we constantly strive to put our members first. If there's a class you'd like to see added to the mix or there are questions you have about achieving Whole Life Fitness, check out our new blog, The Mett, and leave comments there.

Get Fit With Two New Nutrition Programs
Have you been working out and planning to change your diet sooner or later? Stop putting it off. Eating right will give you more energy for your workouts and help you drop pounds quicker.


To help you make sense of all the nutrition news out there, we're introducing two new programs. eCoach allows you to receive nutrition advice and encouragement on your own time. You'll receive four weeks of constant accountability via the internet, work on goal-setting and get weight loss strategies from a registered dietitian.


At the beginning of the program, you'll receive a dietary analysis to determine caloric restrictions. You'll also receive balanced, customized meal plans. Throughout the program, you'll be weighed weekly. A registered dietitian will check your journal throughout the week for accountability. She will also be available to answer questions and will send great recipes or new products that you might like to try.


Our second program, Measure Your Burn, starts with a meeting with our registered dietitian. She'll explain how to wear an armband device for tracking calorie burn and how to keep a food journal. After that, you'll be required to keep a food journal and wear your band for three days. The program concludes with a meeting with the dietitian who will use the data that has been collected to develop a personally-tailored plan to meet your weight loss goals.

Summer Group Exercise Class Changes

At the end of each season, we evaluate our group classes and make changes to help accommodate our members' schedules and meet their needs.


As a reminder, our Saturday Turbo Kick, Wednesday Bosu & Balance and our twice weekly PiYo/Hip Hop Hustle will be on hiatus until fall.


If you're a fan of our Pilates classes, note the time change for the classes. They will be held from 5-5:45 pm. Our Wednesday Jazzercise classes now start at 7 pm. On Saturdays, Jazzercise will start at 11 am.

Water Fitness is Back!
Water Fitness is Back

Are you looking for a new way to get fit during the summer? Get off the treadmill and into the pool with Water Fitness at Lincolnshire Fields Country Club starting June 6th.


There are many benefits of water aerobics, especially for sufferers of joint pain. The non-weight bearing exercises give you a great workout that is easy on the joints. For the same reason, water workouts are a great option for pregnant women who are unable to take part in other activities. 


Additionally, because of the resistance of the water, your muscles -----  core included -----  will get an intense workout.
