Recipe: Turkey Meatballs

Turkey Meatballs

  • 1 1/4 pounds minced turkey
  • 2 onions diced
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup low fat milk
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh italian flat parsley chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parmigiano reggiano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon mint
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Wash hands really well as you will be handling raw meat
  3. Place the oats into the milk and set aside
  4. Beat egg in another small bowl and set aside
  5. Take the minced turkey and put into a large bowl
  6. Add the egg, oat/milk mixture, parsley spices, garlic, tomato sauce and the cheese into the bowl with the turkey
  7. Form the turkey into 30-35 individual, one-inch balls and place them into large casserole dish and cook for 15-20 minutes
