New Yoga: Yin & Strength

Check out these two new group exercise classes—a slow, meditative class and a strength-building flow.

Candlelight Yin Yoga
A slow, introspective form that applies moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body; the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, while increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Poses are held on the mat from 2–5 minutes in a calming candle lit atmosphere. This is a more meditative approach to yoga that aims to cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal interconnecting quality. Candlelight will be added to enhance relaxation.

Mondays from 7:30–8:30 p.m. in Studio A with Sarah V. (starting 10/30/2017)

Slow Flow Strength Yoga
A strengthening and meditative class with poses ranging from gentle to more challenging poses. The emphasis is placed on safe alignment and strength-building through longer holds. The slower pace of the class is more conducive to meditative practices of mindfulness of action and awareness of breath.  Start your weekend off right.
