Backstory: where it all began

Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?
A: I have always loved health and fitness. After going through my own personal health and fitness transformation I wanted a chance to share my enthusiasm and knowledge with others. I decided to step out of the profession I was in and become a trainer. This profession allows me to share my passion of health and fitness with others and aid them in their transformation.

Q: Where did your health and fitness journey begin?
A: I began doing a formal exercise routine when I was 14 years old. Even at such a young age I found that I just felt better moving. However, the real journey began after having my second child. I was very overweight and felt awful. I knew I needed to feel better, increase my energy level, and be a role model for my daughters. I started focusing on my fitness and nutrition and lost 70lbs, gained a ton of energy, and am the fittest I have ever been.

Q: What is your best health/fitness advice?
A: Make your health and fitness routine a priority and schedule it into your day like an appointment. Find ways to challenge yourself to prevent boredom and be open to trying new things.

Current: the here and now

Q: What's your favorite workout?
A: I enjoy almost anything as long as it challenges me.

Q: What's the fitness mantra you stand by?
A: Continue to challenge yourself to be the best version of yourself for you and everyone around you.

Q: How do you relax, de-stress and chill out? Or, where would we typically find you on Friday night?
A: Spend time with the family.

A: Gum!

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
A: Pizza and chocolate

Q: What moment are you most proud of in your life?
A: Stepping out of my comfort zone and becoming a group fitness instructor 6 years ago. Taking this step pushed me out of my comfort zone GREATLY, and illustrated that all great things happen outside your comfort zone!

A: Fitness and nutrition for children and finding a healthy balance.

Future: the best is yet to come
