Backstory: where it all began

Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?
A: I enjoy working with people and making a difference in their lives.

Q: Where did your health and fitness journey begin?
A: I was teaching swimming to a three-year-old with cerebral palsy.

Current: here and now

Q: What is your best health/fitness advice?
A: Drink more water.

Q: What’s your favorite workout?
A: Swimming, walking and the rowing machine.

Q: What’s the fitness mantra you stand by?
A: If you believe it you can achieve it.

Q: How do you relax, de-stress and chill out?
A: On my patio or couch with my feet up.

Q: What’ one thing you can’t live without?
A: My houseplants

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
A: Champagne truffles

Q: If you were to win an award, what would it most likely be?
A: Overachiever

Q: What moments are you most proud of in your life?
A: Making the Olympic swim team as a 10-year-old, creating the cardiac unit for the VA hospital, and completing my study on lymphedema.

Q: People may not know you’re passionate about…
A: Gardening, day lilies, and grandchildren.

A: Scuba diving and fresh crepes in Paris.
