Backstory: where it all began

Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?
A: I became a personal trainer because it gave me the opportunity to use exercise and physical activity to significantly make a difference in the overall well-being and quality of a person’s life.  

Q: Where did your health a fitness journey begin?
A: My journey began at Parkland College where I completed a one-year preparatory personal training program in order to get certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Q: What is your best health/fitness advice?
A: Planning in advance is the key. In order to succeed, you must have a plan. If you fail to prepare, you’re preparing to fail!

Current: the here and now

Q: What's your favorite workout?  
A: Circuit Training (e.g. ropes/plank/lunges/kettle bell swings)

Q: What's the fitness mantra you stand by?
A: Be willing to fail. “If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes.” —John Wooden.

Q: How do you relax, de-stress and chill out? Or, where would we typically find you on Friday night?
A: I enjoy watching any type of sporting event that may be broadcasted, but I also bowl and go dancing as more active options.

Q: What’s one thing you can’t live without?
A: Lactaid Pills: Everything I love is made with milk. Unfortunately, I’m lactose intolerant.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
A: I enjoy eating the foods that are not the most advantageous when trying to achieve my fitness goals.

Q: If you were to win an award, what would it most likely be?
A: “Most Genuine”

Q: What moment are you most proud of in your life?
A: In 2012, I placed top 20 in an International dance competition hosted by Applause International at the Hilton Grand Resort in Orlando, FL.

Q: People may not know you’re passionate about…
A: Hip Hop Choreography and Illinois Sports Programs

Future: The best is yet to come

Q: What are some of your fitness goals?
A: I’d like to add more lean body mass while reducing fat from my body composition without the fluctuation in weight.

A: Hike to the top of Machu Picchu
