Warm Up Your Winter: Hot Yoga

Stay warm this season with Hot Yoga

Looking for a new winter workout? Warm up with Mettler’s Hot Yoga as you stretch, strengthen, and tone in our heated studio.

Hot yoga is practiced in a “hot studio” heated to 95 degrees. Practicing yoga in a heated studio amplifies the health benefits yoga offers, including deeper stretches and injury prevention, while reducing stress and tension. Towels will be provided. Please bring water bottles. This is a fee-based class.

New Yoga: Yin & Strength

Check out these two new group exercise classes—a slow, meditative class and a strength-building flow.

Candlelight Yin Yoga
A slow, introspective form that applies moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body; the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, while increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Poses are held on the mat from 2–5 minutes in a calming candle lit atmosphere. This is a more meditative approach to yoga that aims to cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal interconnecting quality. Candlelight will be added to enhance relaxation.

Mondays from 7:30–8:30 p.m. in Studio A with Sarah V. (starting 10/30/2017)

Yoga is for Everyone

Whether you are an athlete or someone struggling with arthritis, yoga is an excellent activity to incorporate into your life.

For the very active, yoga offers deeper stretching and loosening of tight joints. Those new to exercise can benefit from gentle yoga, as can those who suffer from chronic pain.

Here are three reasons why yoga should be part of your routine.
