Betty is a remarkable example of living well and we hope you enjoy our interview with her.

Devoted member, Betty Esser is turning 100 years young. Get to know this inspiring centenarian.

 

Member Since: July 10, 2006

 

Residence: Urbana

 

Family: 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren 

 

Hobbies: Reading mysteries, especially by author James Patterson

 

Secret to Good Health: "I've been active all my life, and I like fruits and vegetables, lots!"

 

Favorite Splurge: Ice cream

 

Current Fitness Routine: 15 minutes on treadmill, 15 minutes on NuStep, and training with her personal trainer, Rhonda, once a week.

 

Advice for others: "Eat healthy and be active. And take an interest in the world around you!" and "Keep going even if you have blips in life."

 

Why are you a member at Mettler Center? "It's a friendly place and I always feel good after being here!"

 

What she's looking forward to?
