    1. Becky Alexander Technique TeacherHow were you first introduced to Alexander Technique?
I was first introduced to the technique in college, as a dance major. And more so in graduate school, where we had a course that surveyed various body-mind practices.
    1. How long have you been a student of Alexander? And a teacher?
I started by having private lessons in the late 1970’s. I certified as a teacher in 1990 with Joan and Alex Murray.  I established a course in the Dance Department at that time and it continues to this day. Also, through that, many students have been introduced to Alexander and have gone on to become certified teachers themselves.
    1. What is one food you refuse to eat?
Liver. Can’t stand the taste or the texture.
    1. What are your hobbies?
I don’t have a lot of official “hobbies”. I do enjoy my 2 cats, and lately I’ve been doing some knitting.
    1. Would you say you are more of an extrovert or introvert?
I think it depends on the situation. I can be extroverted when I’m doing something I feel confident about, such as teaching. But I can be introverted and kind of shy in other situations.
    1. What is one place to travel on your bucket list?
I’ve traveled all over the world, but haven’t seen Niagra Falls or the Grand Canyon, so would enjoy getting to see some of these iconic spots in our own country.
    1. What do you like to do on the weekend or days off?
Attend concerts, plays, etc.  Get together with family and friends.
    1. If you could have only one of the 5 senses, which one would you choose and why?
Sight – I really rely on my sight for most things, including remembering things, learning, balancing, etc.
    1. If you came back in a next life as an animal, which animal would you want to be and why?
Since I love cats, I would say a cat. I relate to them the most of any animal I know.
