Laura ChiaramonteLaura Chiaramonte (AmSAT Certified Alexander Teacher) completed her training with Joan and Alex Murray in Urbana, IL in June of 2013. A dancer at heart, Laura has been performing and producing work professionally for the past fourteen years and performed, taught workshops in dance, and presented work throughout the US, Bali, Cambodia, Ecuador, Italy, and Taiwan. In 1998, Laura received her BFA from The Ohio State University in modern dance performance with an emphasis in choreography, Laban Notation and Directing from Score and in 2009 received her MFA in dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Laura currently teaches the Alexander Technique throughout the Chicagoland area and in Urbana-Champaign.


Rebecca Nettl-FiolRebecca Nettl-Fiol (AmSAT Certified Alexander Teacher) is a Professor of dance at the University of Illinois and has been a certified teacher of the Alexander technique since 1990. Her research includes the integration of Alexander technique principles in dance training, resulting in a co-authored book, Dance and the Alexander Technique: Exploring the Missing Link. Other publications include The Body Eclectic: Evolving Practices in Dance Training, as well as articles, chapters in books, and conference proceedings. She is a frequent presenter and guest teacher throughout the U.S. and abroad, and is the recipient of the University of Illinois Campus Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
