Mettler Physical Therapy Clinic was established by Paul R. Mettler, PT, DPT in August of 1990 in downtown Champaign. One year later the business expanded and relocated to 1500 sq ft space in the Trade Center on State Street in Champaign. In 1994, the clinic relocated across the street to the State Street Plaza, which featured about 4000 square feet of space and added a fitness component. Three years later, the increased demand for physical therapy and health/fitness services led to tripling the space in the relocation and expansion of services to the Robeson Crossing development in southwest Champaign and is now known as Mettler Center, LLC. To date, the Mettler Center offers a wide variety of opportunities—including fitness memberships, group fitness classes, personal training, weight loss programs, medical fitness and nutrition, massage, and more. All of this combines together with our award-winning physical therapy offerings to provide the best in Whole Life Fitness.

In 2007, Mettler Athletic, LLC was opened on the corner of Fox and Neil to move participants to the next level. Mettler Athletic is a whole-life fitness facility geared toward the athlete, but there’s more to Mettler than weight machines. Mettler Athletics’ professional staff offers fitness memberships, physical therapy, sports nutrition, and more.
